Dream of being a pro soccer player? Here’s your chance.

The open tryouts will take place at the Crocker Amazon soccer fields in San Francisco.

Attention all recreational and amateur soccer players in the Bay Area: make your dream to become a professional athlete a reality.

The San Francisco Deltas announced today they would be holding open tryouts for the public on November 11th and 12th at Crocker Amazon Soccer Field in San Francisco.

At least one player from the tryout will be invited to the Deltas’ pre-season training camp.

The inaugural season for the Deltas, who will play in the second division NASL, will begin next February. Home games will be at Kezar Stadium in San Francisco.

“This is an exciting milestone on the road to our inaugural season,” said SF Deltas Head Coach, Marc Dos Santos. “Our top priority is to put a championship team on the field fueled by local players and we’re looking forward to seeing local talent. It is important to us that everyone has an opportunity to be evaluated for a chance to earn a professional contract on our 2017 roster.”

On Friday the 11th all registered players will take part in 8 vs. 8, 60-minute games. On hand to evaluate the players will be Dos Santos, Deltas Consulting GM José Carlos Brunoro, and former MLS player and Director of Soccer Operations Todd Dunivant.

The Deltas also invited scouts from other professional and amateur clubs in the Bay Area to attend the tryouts as well.

“Our overarching goal is to grow this sport for everyone in the Bay Area – more players, more teams, more fans,” said Dunivant.

After Friday’s games, the Deltas will invite a select amount of players for an 11 vs. 11 showcase match on Saturday, Nov. 12th. From that group, at least one player will take part in the Deltas pre-season camp and have a chance to earn a professional contract.
