Romero’s goal was set up when a cross from the left sideline found Edson Cardona at the far post. Cardona lost his balance, but as he fell he was able to redirect the ball to an unmarked Romero who nodded it into the net.

The shot was Romero’s fourth of the evening. He had previously missed a great chance in the 66th minute, when had a shot at an open net and clanked his shot off of the post.

And LA goalkeeper Brandon Gomez denied him a goal with a tough save in the 52nd minute, redirecting Romero’s leaping header with his hands as it was headed into the net.

Gomez made another key save with his feet in the 13th minute, after Marco Silveira intercepted a back pass from an LA defender. Silveira took 3 shots for Bay Cities in the match.

LA’s best scoring chance came in the 51st minute, when Cyro Reis de Oliveira turned and fired a shot from distance that sailed over the crossbar.

Bay Cities goalkeeper Alan Cruz earned the clean sheet in his second start of the season. He made saves on shots by Kyle O Brien in the 38th minute and Edson Alvarado in the 77th.
