On Wednesday Stanford announced the tragic death of Stanford goalkeeper Katie Meyer in her dorm room on campus. Her parents confirmed on the Today show that Meyer committed suicide, possibly due to a disciplinary incident on campus.
On social media the response to Meyer’s death was immediate.
