The San Francisco Glens search for a named sponsor for its new soccer-specific stadium took a step forward with the announcement of a partnership with sports marketing agency PIVOT on Thursday.

PIVOT will lead the search for a sponsor for the Glens Treasure Island stadium that will break ground this summer will take about a year to complete. They will also pursue other marketing opportunities for the San Francisco soccer team.

The agency is well known in the Bay Area, with its clients including the San Francisco Giants, Golden State Warriors, and San Jose Sharks.

“We’re excited to enter this collaborative partnership with PIVOT, as we found it essential to bring on a world-class agency with the assets and experience to match the club’s rapid growth the past few years,” said Mike McNeill, SF Glens SC executive director during the announcement.

“PIVOT Agency understands the soccer ecosystem and the value and growth associated with the beautiful game,” said Ben Shapiro, founder, and CEO of PIVOT Agency. “We’re thrilled to partner with the San Francisco Glens and help integrate strategic corporate partners with this iconic waterfront complex.”

The 1,500 seat stadium will have a full-sized FIFA regulation turf pitch, two smaller 5 v 5 training fields, and a hardtop futsal court. It will also include locker rooms, concessions, a press box, meeting rooms, storage, and a study hall room for Glens academy players to use before and after practices.
