A lively announced crowd of 4,133 at Kezar Stadium rooted on the team for a full three point but Indy Eleven tied the game up off a Tanner Thompson header in the 58th minute.

Both teams had several chances to win the game in the final minutes and Deltas goalkeeper Romuald Peiser was forced to make a difficult kick save late in the match.

In other opening weekend NASL matches, North Carolina FC tied Miami FC 1-1 and Puerto Rico FC and the New York Cosmos battled for a scoreless draw.
