The Deltas continued to round out their roster by announcing the signings of defender Andrew Lubahn and goalkeeper Alex Mangels.

Lubhan, who has been training with the team for a few weeks, played last season for Louisville City FC in the USL. He is a 2-time all-ACC honoree in college and has played with the U-14, 15, 18, and U-20 United States National teams.

“Andrew has shown great qualities in training camp,” explained Deltas head coach Marc Dos Santos. “His versatility will provide our team with considerable depth.”

Also signed was training camp invitee and former Cal Berkeley goalkeeper and Bay Area native Alex Mangels.  Mangels was the starting keeper for the Golden Bears from 2012-2015 and played last season professionally for the USL’s Tulsa Roughnecks. He will be the third keeper on the roster as a backup for Romuald Peiser and Steward Ceus.

“Alex earned his spot on the team,” noted Dos Santos. “He’s always ready to play at any moment and he has great potential.”

The Deltas last week also signed open tryout invitee Saalih Muhammad. It is expected that the team has one or two more roster spots available to fill and are looking at adding another international player.

The Deltas will play a pre-season friendly against the Cal Berkeley men’s team at Cal Memorial stadium this Saturday morning at 10 am. There will be no cost for the game. Also on Sunday Deltas CEO Brian Andres-Helmick will be on Reddit from 10:30 am till noon to answer questions about the team’s inagural season:
